Trump Guarantees Universal Basic Income?

In the absence of any congressional extension of many provisions of the stimulus package passed a couple of months ago which expired in July, President Trump has decided to extend these temporary government programs by executive fiat. Namely, the federal weekly unemployment checks which originally were $600 per week, now reduced to $400 per week. Considering that all of this new spending is being paid for by Federal Reserve money printing however, there is a good chance that this newly printed money being put into the hands of hungry consumers might set off a long anticipated fit of consumer price inflation.
