How Realities Are Made | Greg Anderson
Professor Greg Anderson explains how humans often think of reality as a fixed point or destiny. However, when we examine civilizations from different periods of time, we see that the way we engage with reality changes depending upon our founding principles. In this story, you will learn how the ancient Athenians built their societies upon traits that made the social bonds of society more important than individualism. His research also explores where humanity veered off of the path of social inclusion during the Enlightenment period as the powerful elite created a new system built on the values of capitalism. In this very insightful and beautiful story, Professor Anderson helps to put into clear focus the things that we could be doing right to help evolve in ways that are socially cohesive. Professor Anderson teaches History at Ohio State University.
