Here Toshishiro Obata, the founder of Shinkendo, provides an introduction to 2 sword techniques. A single sword is commonly deemed best because it allows the swordsman the ability to swing the sword with the greatest strength possible.

However, 2 swords allows the swordsman the ability to block and strike, therefore sacrifices a little strength but gained a little defensive ability.
