What these officers are doing is unlawful.
During the Nuremberg trials(A series of trials for Nazis that committed war crimes against humanity), saying I was just following orders was not a defense. If you are a police officer and you assault people for not wearing a mask because your government has told you, under the highest law of the land, The Commonwealth Constitution of Australia, you are committing a human rights violation under common law and will be dealt with accordingly once order is restored in this country.
