Night Fishing For River Monsters / My Fishing Buddy Gets Hit In The Junk By A Long Nose Gar

In this video I am night fishing for river monsters with my good friend Jason Mar. We had planned to target Walleye but were prepared for anything. The walleye bite was non existant but we picked up some smallies while trying. We had no choice but to switch up to fishing for gar after we ran into a bunch of active ones. We ended up landing a gar and a sucker as well as some smallmouth bass but we saw tons of long nose gar all over the place. This was a great deal of fun seeing and bumping into river monsters while wading the river at night. Wading the river at night is a bit of a thrill and I recommend only doing it in places you have previously waded in the day time. Take small steps and be prepared for anything to happen because you never know what could be right in front of you. River fishing in the dark has served me well over the last few years and certain times of year it becomes my preference.
