Unemployed brothers Namanje and Simon Mahlangu, from Mpumalanga, have gained popularity amongst motorists at the intersection of the busy January Masilela Drive and Glenwood Road in Pretoria East as they stand in as traffic controllers whenever there is load shedding. The Tshwane Metro Police Department and the Joburg Metro Police Department have however discouraged untrained community members from controlling traffic as it is risky. Video: Jonisayi Maromo/IOL
