Seidenfadenia mitrata - 3 month update! What's in the pot? 🤔

SENSITIVE ROOTS, much? 😑 Right at the start of my channel, I took my Seidenfadenia mitrata off the DIY mount I had made for it, and started the transition into leca and self watering. The roots on this orchid are just not able to cope with my climate. I do not have the humidity to accomodate growing tips, and even keeping at at almost full water culture, did nothing to encourage growing roots to continue growing. I would see new roots growing and aborting, despite regular misting of the roots outside of the water. The roots in the water, did not extend or grow. After potting it up, I had the pungent odor of decay for approx. 10 days, but I kept flushing and misting. After 3 months, there is no more odor, and no more 'things' flying around the surface of the orchid. So... in my opinion, and to satisfy my curiosity, I unpotted the orchid and took a look!
