The "old version", had the visualization by layer and no minimum time of visualization, making the change very fast or preventing the change from happening.
In the most recent version, the way of viewing is "recent", preventing it from staying in an animation / image for long periods and also has options for adjusting the minimum time that the animation needs to be visible and the frequency adjustment that the animation will react.
