Marines Conduct EAB Operations on Ie Shima

January 31, 2022 - U.S. Marines with Battalion Landing Team 1/5, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, conduct a helicopter raid on Okinawa, Japan. U.S. Marines from the 3d Marine Division conducted force-on-force training with the 31st MEU to test the resilience of a small, lethal force in a dynamic operating environment. The training demonstrates the joint force’s ability to integrate command and control, expand battlefield awareness, and conduct long-range precision strikes as an enduring, stand-in-force.
