After providing a #gold backing to the #ruble earlier this year, the latest announcement from #VladimirPutin and the BRICS nations is that they're now working on a new global reserve currency.

This comes amidst US and EU efforts to block any Russian gold imports, which places more stress on an already wobbly financial system. And as a result, the eastern nations are continuing to withdraw their resources and commodities from the western financial system.
