Dendrobium tortile was taken off it's mount, earlier in the history of my channel. The orchid grew so well in the past 2 years, that it was becoming too big for growing on a mount in my Mediterranean climate. It was time to assess other culture options in order to secure the continued vigor of this beautiful pendant orchid. During the airing of the video, in which I unmounted it, there was a discussion between myself and Fernanda Nascimento Orchids & Succulents (channel link below) about my being able to safely split the orchid and gift her a piece. In this video, I prepare that division. Dendrobium tortile took very well to the self watering set up and has sent out another set of new growths, following right behind the first set for the 2020 growing season. In order to secure it's vigor, as well as prep the division for shipping, I filmed the process of dividing the orchid and explain my reasons as to why I am doing this a month ahead of time.
I really appreciate the fact that you took the time to watch my video. I am very open to any comments or questions, this video may have brought up. Feel free to ask away and know that I will get back to you as soon as possible! Also, if you have any suggestions that you would like me to address in a video, mention them in the comments below and I will be happy to film a personalized video under the series 'Subscribers Inspire'!
If it is the first time for you, on my channel... Welcome!! Consider subscribing for continued insights into my orchid growing journey, I would really appreciate it :)
