One of the long standing companies, that generate this digitial form of media, is Blizzard Entertainment. They're in the spotlight today, due to a recently released social contract. Players of their most popular title, World of WarCraft, will be required to frivolously sign away their independence, before they will be allowed to log back into the game after a recently released patch.
