DNC Lies Could Cost Democrats the Election

In examining the talking points from the Democratic National Convention (which has been a mix of platitudes, lies, Trump bashing, and cringe pandering), James examines why some lies seem more acceptable, and some not, and perhaps more importantly, how that will impact who ultimately wins in November.

Both Donald Trump and Joe Biden are notorious liars. But the type of lies they tell are typically different from one another. For Joe Biden (and Democrats in general), they tend to tell lies about their background, accomplishments, and ambitions. For Donald Trump (and Republicans in general), their lies are more conspiratorial in nature. This difference can have a dramatic effect on how the lies are perceived by people, which could spell disaster for the Democratic party in the general election come November 2020.
