Do you want a bigger sound on the flute? Is your sound rather small?

Anyone can play with a big sound! It all boils down to the correct embouchure and by allowing yourself to play ff without fear of cracking. When you allow yourself to play to the extremes of your flute, then you find where the extreme end is to your tone.

Learning to expand your tone is a fantastic way to improve your solos too. When you can make your ff’s louder than naturally, your pp’s sound softer without having to work so hard.

I have an exercise that is perfect for learning how to expand your tone. It’s an easy exercise but you still reap the reward of a big sound.
