A visit with Cleo and Penny to review their weight coming through winter. It cut off half way

I've put the two older girls in separate yards while we are at such a distance, so they are able to feed without competing with other horses. They are side by side, so have each other through the fence. While this is not ideal, the needs for their weight gain and other health issues take priority. As if Penny doesn't keep her weight on, she will not survive.
The other issue is Cleo's leg, as she is prone to lameness where is was de-gloved and seriously injured. So I'm limiting her physical activity, as when she runs to keep up with the herd she tends to limp more. Not ideal, but it's one of those decisions that is difficult, as it requires compromise.
