Au-Yeung Honda Civic @ PPIHC 2021, Practice @ Bottomless Pit

William Au-Yeung's 2012 Unlimited-class Honda Civic ran to 14th on the shortened course at the '21 Pike's Peak International Hillclimb (7:09.960). Note the extended ground effects, which were probably a prime motivator for the car winding up in Unlimited. The Civic placed third in Unlimited. As for every race vehicle traversing Bottomless (named for the drop-off on the other side of the big stone wall - next stop, Manitou Springs!), negotiating the undead gap in the middle of the curve is a challenge.
