The practice of loving-kindness meditation, also called Metta or Maitri (Pali/Sanskrit for love or kindness), is a practice that has been passed down since the time of the Buddha over 2500 years ago. This meditation style is about opening up the heart and cultivating love and compassion for ourselves and others.
