Where to Park for Free in Gatlinburg TN

Free parking in Gatlinburg is not a myth, but it is very difficult to find sometimes. Here's the top 3 places to park for free in Gatlinburg:

1. River Rd. Follow the directions in this video. If it is early in the day, you'll likely find a spot. As the afternoon/evening comes it will get much more difficult, but not impossible.

2. Local businesses - There are a handful of restaurants and shops (ie. the NOC at the end of the strip) that have parking for their establishments. Two things to keep in mind - there aren't a ton of spots and the spots they have are for customers only.

3. Parking on the parkway - This is limited to parking before 9 AM. Look for the signs. This is a great way to stop at Pancake Pantry or just pop over to the Donut Friar for a box of doughnuts and right back to your car.
