Review of the Pentax 6x7 MLU.

Since the publication of my book "Photography: The F Manual", I received many questions about the best film and digital equipment to use, so I decided to start with review of the camera, lenses and accessories I use.

  • Late to this video but thankful that you took the time. Digital imaging has all but replaced film photography. It's convenient; it's versatile; it's easy. But, it can be extremely mindless. I too took a step backwards to reclaim the actual thought process required to compose; to consider ISO, apperture and shutter speed. There is tremendous satisfaction that comes with merely having the wherewithal to manage the parameters that lead to an artful photograph and to use those HUGE negatives to create enlargements in canvas gallery mounts. I used to have all Canon gear: 5D, D40 etc. . . Sold it all and bought two Mamiya 645's (1000s and M645) and a 35mm Canon A1 and Nikon FM. Still shooting as a hobby. Thanks again.
