The Lethbridge Pride Parade took place over the weekend. A large number of vehicles were decked out to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community in our city. Over 1,000 people attended the event as walkers started at the Civic Ice Centre and ended at Galt Gardens. Lane Sterr, the President of the Lethbridge Pride Fest Society, says this was the first pride parade for Lethbridge in just over two years.

The first Lethbridge Pride Parade was held in 2007 and the first Alberta Pride Festival was held in Edmonton in 1980.

Aired on: Monday, June 27, 2022
