50 Years Of Atari Arcade Games

https://arcadeheroes.com - Today is Atari's 50th anniversary so to celebrate, let's take a look at every single arcade machine they released, from Pong to San Francisco Rush 2049. As you'll see in the 1970s, Atari was the first company to have produced many innovations that are taken for granted in today's gaming scene. They were truly pioneers. Have YOU played Atari today?

Note that I combine all numbers of listed sales from the "atarinumbers" document, so all versions of a game released. Just was easier to save on space.

Music - All music in this video comes from Atari-made systems - some are from the arcade games, the rest Atari's home consoles. Several are from the Atari 400/800 computer line which used the POKEY audio chip. POKEY was also used in many of Atari's late '70s, early '80s arcade games. Most songs are from the demoscene, where musicians and coders have pushed the limits of what the 6502 & Pokey could do.
