Water Leak Detector - Complete Guide - DIY

I built this smart water leak detector/sensor because I needed to keep an eye on leakages in my basement walls and floor. I first wanted to use an Arduino to build this leak sensor, but I ended up using a WEMOS R1 because of the built-in WiFi capabilities.

I programmed the WEMOS board to go to sleep and only wake up once every 30sec to perform the reading. The power is supplied through a rechargeable LipPo battery and I put everything in a 3D printed case.
