Assange Rearrested on First day of Extradition Hearing, Judge Denies Defense Requests

During the first day of the second half of Julian Assange’s extradition hearings, Assange was rearrested under a new superseding indictment issued in June 2020. The judge denied two requests issued by the defense. Meanwhile, journalists attempting to access the videolink to virtually attend the court proceedings had difficulties with the link.
