There's something that Jamelle Bowie and Rebecca Tracer both have been writing about about the gap between the democratic leadership and younger progressives on the question of how bad it is it is just enormous. and this is a response to a tweet by Dylan wells. dylan wells is a cover I guess congress and campaigns for the USA today. and she writes just asked whip clay Clyburn about the Dobbs's decision. This is the one that has overturned Roe v wade. rolled back an individual right for the first time in this country that has existed for 50 years. It's a little anticlimactic. I think we all expected this. I'm hopeful you know I have to read the decision to see exactly to the extent that we can move legislatively to respond to it. well you know we can talk about the subsidiary question as to its anticlimactic. maybe that was part of the leak intention in the first place. but b really is this your first response? no I mean I think this response gets to exactly what Rebecca has been writing about. exactly what I have been writing about. which is the proper response from one of the top leaders of the party ostensibly committed to the protection of abortion rights should not be this is anticlimactic. The response should be some way that you signal to the people paying attention to you that you understand that they understand that your hair is on fire. that people's hair should be on fire. that this is a serious engraved moment and that the party is beginning to move or is moving now to do something about it.
