"The God of the Old Testament is arguably a most unpleasant character," says Richard Dawkins (I'm quoting a professed atheist on purpose).

"God does seem pretty angry in the Old Testament?" we chime, in observation. "Yet, he's pretty chill, even loving, in the New."

Apologists often argue for a change in circumstances. God operated under different covenants in the Old than he did in the New. The new covenant, you know, came in and did away with the old. But did it really?

Might we have something about the overarching narrative? Join Robin and me as we talk about Deuteronomy and Joshua's instructions for Warfare and what it means for us today.
