Stop tolerating the Jezebel Spirit - Robert Morris

Jesus speaking to the churches says this to the angel of the church in Thyatira after commending her for her works, faithfulness, charity, patience,...Revelation 2:20-23 20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.

22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. Tolerate means to put up with, allow, refuse to confront, refuse to deal with, be intimidated, submit to. Is there a person in your church that you dread confronting? Is this person backed by a weaker, submissive person or persons? Always remember a Jezebel Spirit needs an Ahab Spirit (weaker, controlled person, to operate. Jezebel operates through intimidation, deception, lying, fear... The Jezebel Spirit can operate in a man or a woman. Although we usually think of the Jezebel Spirit as a woman because of the woman named Jezebel in the bible who threatened to kill the prophet Elijah.
