We have some major 49ers rumors and news to get to on the 49ers Report by Chat Sports with host Chase Senior.
- According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Deebo Samuel trade request has not been rescinded with 49ers Training Camp coming up in July. Earlier in the spring, Deebo did make his trade request be known after he became frustrated with no Deebo Samuel contract extension being finalized and the wide receiver market exploding throughout NFL Free Agency. Fowler did say that with Deebo reporting to 49ers minicamp, that was a positive sign.
- Jeremy Fowler also discussed the latest Jimmy Garoppolo injury news. Jimmy G remains on schedule to start throwing in July and if he passes a physical, the Jimmy G trade market could start hating up again.

Jeremy Fowler on Jimmy G:
“San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo remains on schedule in his recovery from shoulder surgery and timetable for throwing, per source. The expectation has been Garoppolo will throw over next few weeks (early July, per Kyle Shanahan) and that plan is still in place. Once this happens and Garoppolo can pass a physical, the trade market for him could heat up.
Garoppolo is entering the final season of his contract and is scheduled to count $26.95 million against the 2022 salary cap. That deal included a no-trade clause for the 2021 season only, and the 49ers have the right to trade him to any team of their choosing, if they wish.
An acquiring team would take on a $24.2 million salary if it traded for Garoppolo right now, but that salary is not guaranteed and interested teams could, potentially, work with him on a contract extension that knocks down the salary number in exchange for guarantees.”
