The Inheritance

We are joint-heirs with Christ and sealed by the Spirit to an inheritance to come. Do you know what you are about to inherit? As a believer, do you realize you are part of a royal family that owns a glorious city whose builder and maker is God?

The same body with whom?

The Household of God:
the foundation of the apostles and prophets
Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone
an holy temple in the Lord
an habitation of God through the Spirit (Ephesians 2)

New Jerusalem:
the wall of the city had twelve foundations and in them were the names of the twelve apostles
for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it
the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them (Revelation 21)

Takeaway:
Abraham was promised the world to come and looked for a heavenly city. We are children of Abraham by faith in Christ Jesus. We, too, shall be in that heavenly city to reign with Christ over His glorious kingdom!
