Introduction to tangential and normal components of acceleration
4 years ago
8
The tangential and normal components of acceleration are discussed and their associated equations derived. Examples of a rocket launching, in orbit, and transitioning to orbit are used to show cases of tangential, normal and mixed acceleration components. The geometry of the components is explained graphically in detail. A table including various cases of tangential and normal acceleration is also discussed and completed.
