Sorry for the volume control lmfao. I kinda suck sometimes.

This all comes from the perspective of an outsider. I don't know anyone personally involved in this, so all the context I can give is what was publicly posted about this that I had found at the time of recording this video.

I know that people are going to disagree with me and that's totally fine. We're different people, coming at conflict from different perspectives. What I hope is that we can all not assume the worst of people we disagree with and have a healthy discourse in general on content, storytelling, and the treatment we give to others we disagree with. A different perspective or different concerns doesn't make someone evil or malicious and sometimes I feel like this nuance is lost in discussion of sensitive or emotionally charged topics. As a robot, I can come off cold because I don't necessarily click on an emotional level with things and I lean more on a logic perspective, including allowing people to have their personal perspectives.

So while I might disagree with the person in the video and similar takes to hers, I don't think she should be shut down, bullied, or destroyed for her personal opinion. She should also be allowed to have her personal opinion. Just as is said, "if he can write the book, we can have a response to it.' Totally fair. I think there's a line between threatening someone and their family or wishing someone doom and destruction as opposed to saying, "I don't like this thing," and moving on.

Discussion is necessary to understand different perspectives. What hurts one person doesn't hurt another and empathy is needed to see those different perspectives and how people approach topics differently, whether it's in fiction or not.

I'm a storyteller anything political. I write about human experiences, and often what humans go through or do to each other is appalling, disgusting, and horrific. The human mind really knows no bounds when it comes to human cruelty. I guess all I'm asking is that we can all show each other a little bit of grace in the different ways we approach, discuss, and understand things, rather than assuming the worst from everyone because they said or did something in a way we wouldn't have.

But then again, I'm writing a book from the perspective of a serial killer with necrophiliac tendencies, so I'ma be judge for that and everything else I've done, lol. Bottom line is I just hope we can be kind to one another and explore and share the worlds as we see them in our stories. Not every book is for every person and that's fine. Maybe I'm a lost cause.
