A general introduction (as an unfortunate 2-hour monologue) to the Resurrecting Civility project, to useful analogies of the whole, to the three lens matrix strategy, and a deep dive into the first lens: that of a High-Information-Flow Network of Rich Communities. Topics covered include the nature of information, an information-processing paradigm, social information processing, cognitive and noncognitive ways for information to shape choices, parallel vs complementary information processing, the ideal of an information-rich community, an algorithm for comparing perspectives of rival communities, an emerging set of ideals of truth, goodness and right as features of stable communities, a new science of computational politics, with a role for AI in that science and guidance for AI through that science, and a new model for a university on the path toward resurrecting civility.
