A black and white effect tutorial in Shotcut video editor. Made specifically for beginners using Shotcut, that want to turn their colour videos into black and white.

By lowering the saturation on the video filter, it allows you to view the video clip in black and white. You can also apply other effects on top of the saturation filter to complete the effect you are looking for.

Once you have applied the black and white filter to your project, you can copy and paste the filters to make repeating the same effect over multiple clips very easy. Alternatively you are able to apply the saturation filter to the entire video track, which means all videos on that track appear in black and white.
