With all the civil unrest (escalation in Critical Theory, Marxism, social justice indoctrination, government overreach in the name of protection, the pandemic panic, social and political polarization, etc.), we desperately need a lesson in emotional strength, resilience, and anti-fragility! Enter sociologist, school psychologist, and resilience educator Brooks Gibbs, and moral and social psychologist Jonathan Haidt. I take a clip of Brooks ranting before a Facebook Live Q&A and combine it with various clips of Jonathan Haidt discussing the article and book he co-wrote with Greg Lukianoff, The Coddling of the American Mind. With their research and years of experience in schools, they teach us how harmful our trends of "safe spaces" and "trigger warnings" and protection from offensive speech and ideas have been, and how they have fueled the hatred that is tearing our civilization apart.
