Are you thinking of planting some trees on your homestead? Trees are a very important part of any homestead. They take a long time to produce but once they are planted they will last a very long time. If you think about a nut tree such as a pecan tree, it can produce food for several decades. You will not get that kind of production from any other type of plant, especially with minimal effort. That is why I think that trees should be planted first on a homestead before anything else.
