Super Mario 3D All-Stars - Super Mario 64 - Part 2: Hat Tricks

After beating Bowser for the first time, we have now unlocked the basement! So let's head down there, collect all the special power-up caps, and begin the Hatless Challenge! At certain points in the game, Mario can lose his hat. Without his hat, Mario becomes much more fragile and suffers increased damage. This makes for a perfect self-imposed challenge for this game, and I'm going to take it on! The first place I went to in the basement was Shifting Sand Land for that very purpose, since it's the first place in the game where Mario can lose his hat by getting it snatched by the big bird. Then we get the power-up caps, finish up the last star in Bob-Omb Battlefield, and begin Whomp's Fortress!
