Repairing Broken RYOBI Tools | There is nothing MAGICAL about the BLUE SMOKE! | 2020/31

Can broken tools from Ryobi be repaired? I have collected a few broken tools over the past few months. In every case the tools were well past their warranty period. The great thing about Ryobi Tools is the price point, honestly, its just easier to get a replacement tool if it is past the one-year replacement period from Home Depot. While most Ryobi tools have a three-year manufacturer’s warranty, the process and shipping costs usually either exceed the cost of the tool, or at a minimum, the cost of the replacement part.

And that is what I chose to do, repair my broken tools. So, I ordered all the parts I assumed I would need from the Ryobi Tools website and went about replacing/repairing each tool. I have some technical and mechanical background, so this was not a big challenge, but if you are not comfortable with these tasks, then please do not attempt for your health and safety.
