Today on the Senate floor, U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) spoke about Senate passage of the Jenna Quinn Law, a bill named after a Texan survivor of child abuse which he introduced based on successful reforms in Texas to identify, report, and prevent child abuse.

From 2013 until 2018 Senator Cornyn was chosen by his colleagues to serve as the Republican Whip, the second-highest ranking position in the Senate Republican Conference.
A San Antonio native, Senator Cornyn has served the people of Texas for the last three decades, as a district judge, a member of the Texas Supreme Court and Texas Attorney General, before representing the Lone Star State in the U.S. Senate.
