Batgirl And Supergirl's DCEU Costumes Need Some Work

Batgirl's DCEU costume has been revealed. Leslie Grace will be donning a suit similar to the Batgirl of Burnside suit from the comics and I honestly think it looks fine. I'm not particularly impressed by the costume, as it looks very CW-ish to me, but it's certainly not a bad look. Supergirl's costume on the other hand leaves a bit to be desired. Sasha Calle is a talented actor, but I'm unsure why the suit seems to have been designed with so much bulk. It's very unflattering. While we are just talking about the costumes here, and I still am very interested in what they are doing with the DCEU or Worlds of DC movies, I'm a bit disappointed that it seems like they've gone out of their way to avoid any sort of feminine traits of any kind with these characters, when their feminine traits are one of the things that make the characters stand out and be even more interesting. Again, I still want the DCEU to be great. I have high hopes for the return of the Michael Keaton Batman and I'm even willing to give these movies, HBO Max shows and more a shot. I want them to be great. I just wish the costume design had gone a little differently here. Jill is certainly more upset than I am. #dceu #batgirl #supergirl
