Simple Definition of Angels: Angels are spiritual beings created by God to serve Him, though created higher than man. Some, the good angels, have remained obedient to Him and carry out His will, while others, fallen angels, disobeyed, fell from their holy position, and now stand in active opposition to the work and plan of God.

What Must We Be Mindful of When Studying Angels?

- We must not create of reshape angels according to our liking.

- We must never allow angels to take the place of God.

- Angels must never receive our worship.

What Ministry Do Angels Serve?

Angels Protect

They Protect People

Psalm 91:11, Matthew 18:10

NOTE: There is no passage in the scriptures that says we all have one guardian angel who watches over us, it is very clear that a ministry that angels serve in is protecting us.

They Protect Nations

Daniel 10:1-14

Angels Provide

Matthew 4:11, 1 Kings 19:5-6

Angels Proclaim

Acts 7:38, 53, Galatians 3:19, Hebrew 2:2

Angels Punish

They will carry out judgement during the tribulation. Revelation 12 and Revelation 20

God’s People, Like Angels Have Spiritual Jobs In The Physical World:

God’s People Protect

-His Name
-His Message
-His Ministry

John 17: 6-19,

God’s People Provide

-We provide when we pray and fast
-We provide when we give time, talent, and treasure

2 Corinthians 5:17-20

God’s People Proclaim

-Worship
-Preaching and Teaching

Deut. 32:3-4, Psalm 118:7

God’s People Punish

-We discipline our children
-We discipline our bodies

1 Corinthians 9:27
