Hatching guinea fowl eggs in our incubator, but did we have a bad batch of eggs? I need your help to figure out what went wrong with our guinea egg incubation. There’s a silver lining in this story, too, and I’m excited to share that with you.

It’s always fun to load up an incubator and hatch your own chicks, and there’s a certain joy and satisfaction I get watching the baby birds break through the shell and emerge into the world. However, when things don’t go right it can leave you scratching your head wondering what went wrong.

While these eggs were in the incubator we were also putting our broody hens to work; if they want to sit, let them sit on guinea eggs. Six of the seven eggs were hatched by two surrogate momma hens and aside from the first one seemingly abandoning her hatch things have gone great so far. And because we already had the incubator going and the brooder ready we grabbed the three abandoned keets and got them situated in a warm, controlled environment.

If you have any suggestions or thoughts on why we may have had a bad hatch in our incubator please put them in the comments section below. And thank you so much for taking the time to watch our channel – if you haven’t already subscribed please consider it so you won’t miss the next video. See y’all soon!
