I gave my Bond Arms Derringer more hand purchase with new grips and a look that set it apart from the rest of the herd. The End of the Trail is an iconic 1918 sculpture by James Earle Fraser located in Waupun, Wisconsin, United States. It depicts a weary American man hanging limp on his spent horse. The horse and rider have not only reached the end of their journey, but the end of a way of life for the American Indian. It now reminds us that there once was an American culture, it died. Americans have abandoned traditional values and norms and what was is now no more. These grips serve notice that I will keep riding towards the old ways until I can ride no more, and when my heart no longer beats I will take with me all that made it beat. I will die and what I loved will live, because I will die free and at peace or show my enemies how hard a free man dies and that love is the strongest weapon because it is forged in the fire of the heart that burns beyond time.
