jaguar footprints near the camp

We were camped in Restinga da Marambaia fishing, when at night we heard noises near the camp but when we lit it with the flashlight we didn't see anything, the other day in the morning we went out on the beach and saw the footprints left by a jaguar.
I had already heard that there was a jaguar in this region but we didn't take it very seriously so when we saw the trail left by it we started to believe it.
We will go back to fishing in this region more now with more caution and attention.
