Shawn's question: "A fellow hypnotist just asked me about IEMT and I jokingly said 'think of a memory and wiggle your eyes'. Then I randomly added that it's similar to the fast phobia cure in you're looking at a memory but your eyes are moving back and forth. Which got me thinking, is it? Because the submodality changes to the memory in IEMT happens from moving your eyes in different directions... and in the FPC you're controlling the memory to go backwards and forwards and you're changing submodalities of it directly. In both, it seems it's the movement that the eyes process that changes the encoding of the memory - either watching the memory going forward, backwards, speed up, or your eyes doing the movement itself. Thoughts?"
