Roe v Wade Redux 2020 - Pro-Life Clip Shown at The Return, National Mall, September 26, 2020. On this day, tens of thousands of believers from all over the country gathered in Washington DC, with millions joining virtually from around the world, to pray for the United States of America.

We face a pivotal moment in our history. Ironically (or Providentially!) President Donald Trump will be announcing his SCOTUS pick on this same day. Amy Coney Barrett represents the turning of the tide for all freedom-loving, pro-life Americans. For 50 years the Progressives have held the Supreme Court in their pocket. It has been their greatest weapon of forced societal change. No more. The tide has turned.

We gathered to seal this moment in prayer and to lay the foundations for a blessed future, where our unborn sons and daughters can enter into their inheritance as Americans and not have their innocent bloodshed before they are able to take their first breath.

Abraham Lincoln spoke of the blood of the slaves when he pondered the inevitability of the Civil War of the 1860s. He saw a correlation. KIn his second inaugural, while the Civil War still raged, he said:

"Fondly do we hope—fervently do we pray—that this mighty scourge of war may speedily pass away. Yet, if God wills that it continue until all the wealth piled by the bondman's two hundred and fifty years of unrequited toil shall be sunk, and until every drop of blood drawn with the lash, shall be paid by another drawn with the sword, as was said three thousand years ago, so still it must be said: “the judgments of the Lord, are true and righteous altogether.”

The same is true today. We stand at the threshold of a new Civil War. As we reckoned with the sin of slavery 160 years ao by engaging in the bloodiest war in our history, so today we must reckon with the sin of abortion. Certainly, this is not the only issue that needs prayer. But in my view, it is the foundational issue. As the Dredd Scott decision of 1857 (a dreadful moment in our history) declared slaves to be 3/5 human and ultimately led 3 years later to a bloody Civil War reckoning, so the stance of today's abortionists who declare a baby in full-term as less than human calls for a resolution. Must we experience another Civil War reckoning? Or in His mercy will God give our nation a way of escape?
