Semi Hydro - not a one stop shop growing method. After 2 years, it is time to do a health check of the root system and see if everything is ok, do we need to intervene? I think not, because this Phalaenopsis Schilleriana is growing great, all expectations are being met, BUT, I do not just want to rely on the upper part of the orchid, I want to make sure that there is a healthy root system, and after 2 years in leca, it is a good time to double check. As this growing method allows for repots at anytime without disturbing the orchid, I always take advantage and make it work in the orchid and my favor!
