Politicization of Our Intelligence Agencies

I’ve written about the politicization of our intelligence agencies since January of 2017 and recent events have only served to confirm the concerns I’ve highlighted several times in the ensuing three years. In January 2017 I wrote: “I am stunned at what I am seeing coming from your professional community and utterly dismayed at what sure looks like a series of politically motivated published intelligence reports and leaks of misinformation. These actions put intelligence information into the public domain without vetting, credibility, or authoritative support in order to de-legitimize a duly elected President of the United States in the weeks leading up to the inauguration of Donald J. Trump as our 45th President. The latest is the fiasco that resulted in the release of false information from your profession through two media organizations who average citizens now know as fake news outlets, thanks to the courage and communications ability of the President-elect. I demand to see some resignations and retirements from this one.
Just the week before that damning release of misinformation, your agencies actually published a report making unsubstantiated assessments that Russia actually changed the outcome of a presidential election. I have read the report and its lousy work. Whoever approved it wasted American tax dollars. The thing is full of speculation highlighted by assessments that present NO EVIDENCE AS PROOF and not all intelligence agencies on the thing even agree with the presented assessments confidence level.” I’m not going to go through the stream of other writings from former intelligence and military officials like myself sounding the alarm to you, the American people, but they have come steadily over the last 4 years. But are ya’ll listening? The latest is a trove of documents released showing irrefutably that the line FBI case agent on the Lt General Michael Flynn case was so concerned about the case that he tried to quit. His interview even showed he is sure the Flynn investigation was just “to get Trump” and that the investigation was closed in 2016 with no evidence of wrongdoing but it was kept going by senior leadership. You know the crowd, Obama, Biden, Rice, Yates, Comey, McCabe, Strzok, and Page, as documented during the January 5 2017 meeting in the oval office. The new documents disclosed also reveal the Mueller Investigation was as corrupt as an investigation can be and was begun under the false predicate set up by these same senior leaders using the Steele Dossier. The FBI even knew the primary sub source had been investigated as a Russian agent and didn’t tell the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance court when getting and renewing FISA warrants. All of these things indicate many crimes were committed in order to get Trump and Flynn’s prosecution was a key effort in that regard. The larger question for us ordinary Americans is this: Do we want a government that is capable of doing this to us or do we want one that has been reformed and corrected to prevent this from ever happening again. My choice is the reformed government, so I’ll be voting to re-elect Trump, what is yours? I hope you choose wisely.
