Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly announces Canada to establish embassy in Rwanda – June 22, 2022

Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly speaks with reporters in Kigali, Rwanda, where she announces that Canada will open an embassy and appoint an ambassador in the city. She is joined by Ralph Goodale, Canada’s high commissioner to the United Kingdom. Minister Joly is visiting Rwanda’s capital to meet with Commonwealth foreign affairs ministers and to attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting alongside Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
