10-02-20. A near live look at my 'house food plot' filled with deer! The Illinois season is open right now. This is a brand new fall food plot that I recently planted, in a spot that was all hardwood and mixed trees at this time last year. After clearing the trees in this area I planted a fall food plot mix consisting of a 4 grain fall mix (winter wheat, winter Rye, Oats, and triticale's), as well as a hearty mix of kale and brassicas. What a great success to see deer like this from our rural Southern Illinois country home! I'd say this was a huge success!
