Thousands evacuated amid record flooding in China

Record flooding brought by heavy rain has triggered the evacuation of thousands across China, state media reported on Thursday (June 23). On Wednesday (June 22), 113 rivers in China flooded above warning levels, with seven above historical levels, state broadcaster CCTV quoted the water resources ministry as saying.
