Just before election night, Georgia’s secretary of state, Brad Raffensperger, hired an independent contractor to monitor the ballot counting at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. We wrote about this contractor last summer, describing how he found hundreds of irregularities, documented them, and handed a report to Raffensperger for review. Seven days after receiving this report on what amounted to election fraud in Fulton County, Raffensperger wrote an opinion piece for the Washington Post titled “Georgia’s Election Results Are Sound.” We ask again, as Giuliani did yesterday: Why did Raffensperger lie?
